Here at Go Inspire Eclipse in Kettering we have an opportunity within our Bindery department for an individual who has the skill sets to operate the following industry standard Finishing equipment:

 

115 137 and Pace Guillotines, TH82 folders, MBO T960 Folders, Muller and ST500 stitching lines

They will be required to work proficiently, work within tight deadlines, have good problem-solving skills, be mechanically adept and more importantly have the right attitude to become the best in all aspects Finishing.

Key responsibilities

  • Be able to work under pressure while maintaining high levels of quality output.
  • Work to tight deadlines.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of products you produce.
  • Ensuring Quality control is constantly maintained.
  • Carry out Weekly Maintenance.

Here at Go Inspire Eclipse we have an opportunity for a Pre-press Operator to join our team based in Kettering. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis (working on a constant day shift 8.30am -5pm) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

As a Pre-press Operator at Go Inspire Eclipse, you will utilise all aspects of our Pre-press systems which include Agfa Apogee Workflow, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Press-Tune. In conjunction with the Prepress software, you will have access to Technique our Management Information System software. Using Apogee Work flow, you will pre-flight, Colour Manage and Impose files ready for their next process. Following on from the workflow you will produce various proof types, Improofs, Contract Proofs and Finishing Guides from our Epson, Hewlett Packard, and Ricoh proofing solutions.

Duties as our Pre-press operator will also include:

– Pre-flight customer supplied files prior to importing them into Apogee workflow.

– Troubleshooting issues and correcting Files.

– Carrying out authors corrections to customer supplied files.

– Using imposition software within workflow prepare files in readiness for Improofing/Plating

– Maintaining CTP systems and Plate Processors on a maintenance rota.

– Achieve all quality standards to ISO accreditations standards.

– Ensure that you liaise with the Account Management team about job bag discrepancies and queries about artwork

– Follow internal checking procedures for all proofs and plates required for next process.

– Maintain our inhouse 6s quality standards

You will be working in an open plan office environment alongside the Commercial Management Team, this will give you the opportunity to interact with fellow staff members regarding the working progress of your jobs, which also helps build a cohesive team supporting all aspects of the pre-printing process.

Our Pre-press Operator will ideally have the following skills and knowledge:

– Using Adobe Creative Suite be proficient with relevant applications.

– Have worked with Agfa Apogee ideally although training will be given.

– Experience of a pre-press background would be essential.

– Knowledge of colour standards.

– Flexible and pro-active approach with the ability to work well within a team and to tight deadlines.

– Have a high level of attention to detail.

– Have a good understanding of impositions.

Print Technician Apprenticeship

Here at Go Inspire Eclipse we currently have 2 new apprenticeships available: Press Technician and Post-Press Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity to train as a Print Technician with a well-established business.

 

Who are we?

 

GI Eclipse are one of the UK’s leading sheet-fed, web and web inline printers we offer competitive prices across a wide range of printed products for public, private and third-sector clients, specialising in medium to high-volume, often complex jobs that demand intelligent solutions and meticulous attention to detail.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

 

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the qualification obtained will be a Level 3 Print Technician Apprenticeship Standard. The apprentice will be given sufficient time to undertake their “Off-the-Job” requirement of the apprenticeship.

 

Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both Go Inspire and the BPIF. You will be assigned a training coordinator to ensure that you have the best training available. Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit your individual needs and business needs. Most training and studying will be site-based.

What will the apprentice be doing?

You will gain an understanding of the following:

  • The printing industry and its markets
  • How the business operates including its culture, values, processes and how you fit in
  • Technical knowledge and print industry practices, processes and the materials used to carry out the occupation effectively, e.g., practices can include maintenance and continuous improvement; processes include printing, quality assurance and colour management
  • Pre-press, press and post-press processes and equipment and the commercial impact of their role e.g., ensuring that printed material is presented to post-press in perfect condition
  • Customers’ expectations in terms of order specification and timescales
  • Quality expectations and how they are managed
  • How best to solve problems and implement practical solutions in a timely manner

1st Line IT Support Engineer

Here at Go Inspire Solutions we have an opportunity for two 1st Line IT Support Engineers to join our team in Leicester. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours a week. In return, you will receive an annual salary of £30,000.

As a 1st Line IT Support Engineer, you will support the business objectives through specification, installation, maintenance and support of IT software, hardware and communication systems. You will also adhere to GI Group information security policies and through identification and escalation of information security risks.

 

Main duties will include:

  • Operation of company Helpdesk System and provision of support to clients both internal and external (1st and 2nd line support as skills and experience permit);
  • Creation and management of Secure FTP accounts and provision of external client support;
  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of computer servers, workstations and peripherals;
  • Administration of Windows AD domains including maintaining user accounts, etc;
  • Adherence to company change control procedures;
  • Creation and maintenance of system documentation;
  • Problem management and escalation;
  • Configuration, monitoring and maintenance of anti-virus and security systems;
  • Evaluation of equipment, software and systems, including asset management;
  • Recommendation and implementation of enhancements to systems;

Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Here at Go Inspire Solutions we have an opportunity for a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Leicester. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

As Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will provide and support information services for all divisions of the GI Group through:

  • Management, maintenance and support of Group’s infrastructure, both on-premise and cloud-based.
  • Guardianship of Group’s core infrastructure
  • Support of business objectives for all divisions of the GI Group through specification, procurement, installation, maintenance and support of IT hardware, software and communication systems
  • Support Service Desk and business areas to resolve production issues.

 

Main duties will include:

  • Provide technical and problem-solving support to IT staff and assist as necessary
  • Day-to-day Management of core infrastructure. (VMware / Storage / Networking / Routers / Switches / Azure environment, etc)
  • Monitor live environment through internal monitoring systems keeping both hardware and software running.
  • Provision of support to clients both internal and external (1st, 2nd and 3rd line support as skills and experience permit)
  • Configuration, operation and management of backups.
  • installation, configuration and maintenance of computer servers, workstations and peripherals
  • Configuration, operation and management of on premise and cloud infrastructure.
  • Configuration and maintenance of networks
  • Configuration and management of switches, routers and in conjunctions with the security engineer firewalls

  • Creation and maintenance of system documentation

Our Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will ideally have the following skills:

  • Highly motivated and driven to deliver outstanding customer service, with strong attention to detail, proactive approach to working and a willingness to take ownership
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an IT Infrastructure Engineer role
  • Experience of mentoring other team members
  • Organised, with an ability to prioritise workload and remain organised whilst meeting deadlines
  • Excellent time management, able to schedule personal workload within a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work both as part of a team or under own initiative
  • Able to take responsibility for own actions and performance

  • Experience/understanding of ITIL methodology
  • Degree in Computing and or IT discipline
  • Proven technical experience within a helpdesk or support desk environment, supporting both hardware and software IT systems

  • Working technical knowledge of common hardware, software and networking faults
  • Understanding of IP networks traffic, firewalls, routing, hardware

What to Expect:

  • We are a friendly place to work, but due to the nature of the work, you may be expected to work shifts or be on call and it may be necessary to work extra hours to finish a job.
  • Scheduled work will be planned in and TOIL given, overtime is paid for call outs.
  • We have multiple sites withing the group portfolio (Kettering, Northampton), cover and travel between sites should be expected.
  • Travel within a working day is sometimes needed and may be required at short notice.
